Sending Lateralus!!!

Finally sent Lateralus! What an epic struggle! Frankly didn't think I was gonna send it with all the negative vibes I was dishing at myself and being exhausted from Tue's sess at BCR. Felt so strong last week but didn't send and conversely did when I was feeling kinda low psychologically and physically. I've always felt the magnitude of nervous jitters before sending but this time I also figured that at the end of the day, 4.8 million people in Spore and the billions in China ain't gonna give a crap about what I was gonna do so what's there to be nervous about!?!? All I did this time was pray, commit the effort to the Lord and God willing, He will bear me up to the chains!

Felt kinda desparate this week clearing the crux compared to the breeze last week but I told myself, if I stick that pocket move, I'm gonna give it all I have. Make no mistake, it was kinda sketchy getting to the anchors but I bore down as hard as I could.

As I've always believed....it matters who's on the other end of the line. YEEAA!!!

There's a little spray associated with this route with conflicting tales from locals about the 2nd ascend. Apparently Michael Reardon bolted it while Shawn Diamond copped the first ascent so the main controversy lies with whether Reardon did the second ascent after Shuan. Whatever it is, I'm not gonna argue with anyone about this cos the spray isn't bigger than the tragic demise of Michael.

Besides, the main motivation personally comes from it being a life-goal to climb the darn thing before I get too old to bear down.
